These maps show my 1982 trip out of Florence Lake. I had originally planned to solo hike up Goddard Canyon to Martha Lake. While taking the ferry across Florence Lake, I noticed that one of my fellow passengers was wearing the distinctive "Radical Advocates of Geography" (RAG) shirt, from the Sonoma State University Geography Club. Having graduated from there two years previously, as a RAG member in good standing, I compared notes with the group and found that we had many interests in common. Their route sounded pretty interesting, so I decided to join them. We ended up doing a splendid hike, covering 55 miles in five days. It was a loop, and included crossings of Pine Creek Pass, Italy Pass, and Selden Pass.
I have many great photos of this hike, in 110 format slides, and will try and scan some for your viewing pleasure. (Here is a preview.)
